Bear Hugs and Boats

I mean literally. This is what I am going to put in my body as a meal (well, not the WHOLE bottle...) while my children dine on butter pasta. Thank you so much to my amazing agent Kathleen, the wonderful folks at Disney-Hyperion, and my crit partners. I want to bear hug you all! Actually I want to bear hug strangers at this point.

(Sidebar: Okay so I googled bear hug and found this and I had to share it because it is what my heart feels like. Plus I can just picture me and my Toblerone bar all nestled up in there.)

April Is For Authors

This year I was lucky enough to be invited to join April Is For Authors. This group not only puts on a fun, exciting event for readers and authors - but they also connect schools with visiting authors (and ya'll know that's my jam!) And best of all I met some amazing fellow kidlitters like Jen Swanson and Stacy McAnulty. I'm 96% sure I left a pair of flip flops in the hotel and it's still my favorite conference ever.

My Office Today

My office has been Shermanized.

What's in the box?

Is it a stuffed lobster toy? Maybe.

Is it a three foot tall, giant stuffed lobster toy in bright red with antennae and claws and a squishy tail and loving eyes? Perhaps. 

Do I have any self restraint? Apparently not.
