Tuttle - UPDATE!!

I've posted about Tuttle before, but now I have a rather fabulous update to share. Tuttle is now expanding its line for children and young adults and is currently seeking talented authors and author/illustrators for high-quality Asian-themed (Japan, China, India, etc.) picture books, language-exposure picture books, middle grade and young adult books. Both fiction and non-fiction will be considered. Tuttle is also interested in works with connections to less-commonly-represented Asian countries, like Tibet, Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Burma, and Cambodia.

This call for submissions is not being widely advertised, and it ends on March 31st.

To submit by mail: Mail your cover letter and/or query together with the first chapter (full manuscript for picture books) . Illustrators, please include copies of sample spreads (more finished than just sketches.) For nonfiction works, include an outline of the work, target market, competing titles and your credentials. Tuttle Publishing 364 Innovation Drive North Clarendon, VT 05759 ATTN: Donna Sepkowski Include a SASE with sufficient postage if you’d like your work returned. Please no response cards. Send us duplicate copies only: do not send original copies of any kind, especially artwork, as we cannot be responsible for their safe return.

To submit by email: 1. Put “Query” in subject line of the email. 2. Please include the cover letter and/or query, together with the sample chapter (full manuscript for picture books) in the body of the email. 3. Illustrators, please provide a link to your website where available. EMAIL TO: dsepkowski@tuttlepublishing.com with “Query” in the subject line.

  2. Thank you for sharing this, Catherine. I am revising an MG manuscript set in Singapore, so this update on Tuttle is precious.
