Palm City Elementary Literacy Night

I knew it was going to be a great night when I spotted a 

MIND YOUR MONSTERS pumpkin on the 

literary pumpkin table!!

The space was set up perfectly for me and I had a blast 

handing out monster tattoos and coloring sheets.

Country Day Montessori

What is better than reading to nearly 75 little montessori monsters? Doing it with an old childhood friend, who is now an amazing educator! Thank you so much for having me Betty Jane! I will post more pictures as they become available, but I had to share this pumpkin from Cottage 2. It was filled with pudding, surrounded by cookies, and came with a beautiful Thank You card. How sweet!

North Elementary

I want to give an extra special, extra BIG thank you to everyone at North Elementary in Okeechobee! You all made me feel so very welcome (the donuts! the coffee! the lunch!) and I can't wait to see your little kindergarten and first grade monsters again (all 240 of them!!).  I am honored to have been your first official "author visit."

Not anymore! Mind Your Monsters is a great book that shows what happens when monsters, vampires, zombies, and werewolves invade Wally’s quiet town. The loud, clumsy monsters make a huge mess from knocking down lampposts to chasing the mail carriers. The monsters continue to destroy Wally’s town until he says the magic word “Please”. The not so scary book has some colorful illustrations, great examples of people and monsters using good manners, and most importantly, a cheerful ending. Using manners helped bring the townspeople and the monsters together, and they eventually had a lot of fun!"
